There Seems To Be a Dem Debate On

And it is not boring!!! The sparks are flying like crazy, and nobody is saying be like Reagan.

Just the three, this is very cool. Nobody is arming Repugs for later, either.

It is a real debate, for a change.

I think I'll do with it like I do with most sports... wait for the game summary and commentary later.

Politics is the closest to a sport I enjoy though!

It does sound like the gloves came off, and the brass knuckles went on.

Since I'd certainly never vote for Ms Clinton, and would have to know a lot more about Obama, I don't really have anything to say beyond that. Repub politics and the mixing of church and state, I know about and am comfortable spouting off on, but Dem vs. Dem... I might as well comment on baseball or basketball next!

Was impressed to hear that Jack Kemp is McCain's economic adviser. Kemp's true blue on Adam Smith / Milton and Rose Friedman economics, and like McCain, he didn't let party labels and partisan politics stand in the way of getting things accomplished and working for the good of the whole country.

In all of this, I'm reminded of Bloom County (the best comic strip ever, IMHO!) when Opus the penguin was running for President, and Milo (the reporter) was badgering him.

Opus: I am a statesman (as he adjusts his tie while literally standing on a stump to practice his stump speech)
Milo: I statesman... is a dead politician.
Opus: I am a statesman
Milo: Lord knows, we need more statesmen.
