The 'Grinch' That Stole Halloween!

It looks as though Ms. Shirlie Nagle of Gross Point Farms decided to dress up as a Nasty Bitch for Halloween! If you didn't have a good enough reason to vote against John McCain, here you go... (I wonder if she's related to Gary?)

An Open Letter to John McCain from Frank Schaeffer

"I have posted this letter, which first ran in the Baltimore Sun as an op-ed on Oct 10, 2008, in its entirety. Frank Schaeffer is the author of Crazy for God: How I Grew Up as One of the Elect, Helped Found the Religious Right, and Lived to Take All (or Almost All) of It Back.

"Senator John McCain: If your campaign does not stop equating Sen. Barack Obama with terrorism, questioning his patriotism and portraying Mr. Obama as "not one of us," I accuse you of deliberately feeding the most unhinged elements of our society the red meat of hate, and therefore of potentially instigating violence.

At a Sarah Palin rally, someone called out, "Kill him!" At one of your rallies, someone called out, "Terrorist!" Neither was answered or denounced by you or your running mate, as the crowd laughed and cheered. At your campaign event Wednesday in Bethlehem, Pa., the crowd was seething with hatred for the Democratic nominee - an attitude encouraged in speeches there by you, your running mate, your wife and the local Republican chairman.

John McCain: In 2000, as a lifelong Republican, I worked to get you elected instead of George W. Bush. In return, you wrote an endorsement of one of my books about military service. You seemed to be a man who put principle ahead of mere political gain.
You have changed. You have a choice: Go down in history as a decent senator and an honorable military man with many successes, or go down in history as the latest abettor of right-wing extremist hate.

John McCain, you are no fool, and you understand the depths of hatred that surround the issue of race in this country. You also know that, post-9/11, to call someone a friend of a terrorist is a very serious matter. You also know we are a bitterly divided country on many other issues. You know that, sadly, in America, violence is always just a moment away. You know that there are plenty of crazy people out there.

John McCain, you're walking a perilous line. If you do not stand up for all that is good in America and declare that Senator Obama is a patriot, fit for office, and denounce your hate-filled supporters when they scream out "Terrorist" or "Kill him," history will hold you responsible for all that follows.

John McCain and Sarah Palin, you are playing with fire, and you know it. You are unleashing the monster of American hatred and prejudice, to the peril of all of us. You are doing this in wartime. You are doing this as our economy collapses. You are doing this in a country with a history of assassinations.

Change the atmosphere of your campaign. Talk about the issues at hand. Make your case. But stop stirring up the lunatic fringe of haters, or risk suffering the judgment of history and the loathing of the American people - forever.

We will hold you responsible."

The Real Threat to America's Future:

This was at a McCain 'Town Hall' meeting in Bethlehem, PA. Homegrown ignorance and bigotry...with just a dash of stupidity for good measure! This trash is little better than the people my grandfather fought against in WWII!

WARNING! The Breathtaking Ignorance and Stupidity You Are About to See are Disturbing!

This video was taken at a rally in Strongsville, Ohio during a McCain/Palin rally! With people as stupid as this, is it any wonder Ohio is an economic basket case even in good times? Actually, is it any wonder that with people like this voting, the United States is effectively in the shape it's in? If people like this decide the next election, is there any doubt that America is doomed? Finally, is it any wonder that the McCain campaign, while keeping Sarah Palin away from the media, is also desperately trying to keep the press away from their supporters like these?

Senator Mc(But-You-Have-To-Elect-Me-'Cause-I-Was-A-POW)Cain gets schooled by a young vet!

Beautiful! I'm glad to see there are some young people coming back from Iraq and Afghanistan not buying McCain's or the GOP's lip service about how much they 'value their service!'

John McCain and the Keating Five

...old Grandpa McSame wanted to go negative on Obama instead of talking about the issues, so the Obama camp is happy to respond by bringing the skeletons out of McCain's closet which not only question his integrity, but also his ongoing role in deregulation and the collapse of Wall St.

Senator McCranky...

During a recent interview with the Des Moines Editorial Board, the good senator showed why he may not have the best temperment to be our Commander-in-Chief. Soon this country will be liberated from eight years of rule under a petulant silver-spoon fed frat boy, do we really want to hand the reigns to a petulant geezer who's forgotten how many homes he and the beer heiress own?

Fitness to be Commander...

in Chief And President of the United States of America

I have no idea whether Sarah Palin is fit to be the leader of the free world.

Don't even care much.

However, if John McCain allows this crap to go on, and he has, he has no business aspiring to highest and noblest office in the land.

He is not worthy.

He needs to take a night off and watch "Mr. Smith Goes To Washington" on TCM.

He might just learn something.

REALLY?? Sarah Palin for VP

As always, I question anything coming from the mouths of the repubes, but the latest blurbs and speeches are killing me. I was willing to listen to what Sarah Palin had to say, after all, you cannot judge a book by its former beauty pageant title, but from the minute she started talking, I had to shout, "REALLY??" First of all, both McCain and Palin keep repeating things that have been proven to be outright lies from day one. The whole "sold the governor's private jet on ebay for a profit" mantra is just plain wrong. The jet was sold by a private broker at a loss to the state. Sarah Palin claims she turned down the funding for the "Bridge to Nowhere", when in fact, she was all for it until it became unPC to be pro bridge. In other words, until they figured out it would only serve to hurt the repubes.

My next major issue is the fact that for some reason, the repubes seem to think that by selecting a female running mate for the dinosaur, they will attract women voters. Sarah Palin appears to dislike women in that she is anti-abortion to the point of being beyond scary. While she is hailed as a hero for not aborting her son with downs syndrome, no one remembers to mention that, because she is governor, her children are being raised by their father, a cook and nanny. She is "sacrificing" her children's' well being for her own career aspirations. I am all for women being successful career women, wives and mothers, but do NOT claim to be a bible thumping pro-life supporter of women when your kids are not your priority and you are willing to go on national television and tell huge lies.

Finally, we come to the issue of Sarah Palin's religious "beliefs". Sarah Palin is a member of a church in which the members speak in tongues. The church fully believes that not only is the rapture coming, but it will be somehow centered in Alaska. Sarah Palin's church also believes that you can literally, "pray away the gay". A homosexual has only to believe strongly enough and pray hard enough to discover the joys of both Jesus Christ, as their personal saviour, and heterosexuality.

The scariest part of all of this for me is that there are millions of Americans not only drinking up all the kool-aid, but they honestly believe that both John McCain and Sarah Palin are the answer to all our woes, will raise up this nation to its former glory, and will jump start our sagging economy. OH WAIT, I keep forgetting that the economy is not only doing great, but the war in Iraq was the right thing to do. AND, lest I forget, the repubes themselves had stated emphatically that this election is NOT, I repeat NOT, about the issues but about personality. YES, they really said that on national television.

REALLY????????

REALLY ??

The topic today is abortion. Apparently John McCain was considering a VP running mate who was rather on the pro-choice end of the spectrum...allegedly. John McCain appears to have said that abortion was not the only issue that mattered in the run for the big white house, but was only one of the issues. John McCain has never met my mother. My mother is one of those staunch pro-lifers who will take the list provided by the Catholic church of acceptable candidates to vote for and that will be the ONLY issue she will vote on. Unfortunately, my mother does NOT stand alone and there are millions just like her. The only difference I can note is what "church" provides them with their list of "acceptable candidates" worthy of a vote. When the list comes from the far right, it only means look out, they also consider things like your stance on that horror which will cause the end of the world as we know it...........(whispers) homos. Once they allow abortions, the homos are next and then the rapture will occur. So, back to abortion.

Abortion is NOT, I repeat NOT, NOT, NOT, NOT, the "problem". Abortion is but one solution to the "problem", which is unwanted pregnancy. The OB-GYN who assisted me in giving birth to my second son performed abortions at Cook County Hosp. According to her, over half of the women who came in for an abortion had NO CLUE how it was that they became pregnant. They either had NO basic understanding of the birds and bees, or they believed one of the many urban myths, such as "you cannot get pregnant the first time you have sex." Considering most of them probably did not know what "sex" was, this is not hard to believe. The one thing she said that struck me to the core was that NOT A SINGLE WOMAN was GLAD to be there. For all of them, this was a very difficult decision that would likely haunt them the rest of their lives.

According to the far right, and they know who they are, the ONLY thing kids today need to know about (dare I say it out loud) sex, is the word abstinence. That's right, just say no. Worked great for Nancy Reagan as well. The problem with abstinence programs is that they don't even begin to scratch the surface of what it is the kids are supposed to be saying no to. If we go back to the very beginning, according the far right, it didn't work that great in the garden either. It always makes me laugh to think that the very first "just say no" campaign was a total failure. They, and they know who they are, always seem to forget this. I say if you want to preach abstinence, do it from a viewpoint that might actually work. Convince the young boys to have at least a modicum of respect for the biatches and hos they plan to screw and teach the young women to respect their own bodies and to fully understand that a male teenager with raging hormones and a boner will say ANYTHING to get in your pants, and NO, he does not "love" you. I have said enough for now.

Just Call John McCain Old Fashioined

As long as you admit McBush's quaint old fashioned ideas are also outdated, out of touch, a tad impaired, regressive, moronic, time tested failures, and as original as Cindy McCain's recipe's.

We have seen this all before and it did not work.

Now try to imagine this guy with an imagination, with the mental capability to try something new and original that might alleviate this mess we're in.

I can't either.

John McCain is the guy in the brainstorming session who always says: "But we've always done it this way" to shoot down every new idea and stop them in their tracks. After all, that is what conservatism means, isn't it?

Social and political retardation.

Speeches Speeches Speeches

They all gave speeches!

John McCain: It's Nappy Storybook Time! Why does he speak like he's talking to a room full of 1st graders, after milk and cookies? Oh! That's right, they're Republicans, after all. They don't know any big words.

Hillary Clinton: "!"*

BARACK OBAMA: History and change! It was stirring and inspiring and motivating and gracious (to her Madge). This man will make a great president for the ages.

*I was going to delete all my posts on Hillary if she made a gracious speech, hell, I didn't even care if she conceded. DELETED.
