The Biggest Nellie in Canada!

The girl in this video is a Green Beret compared to the guy! Listen to him scream at the end...how sad! Why I posted this, however, is because I think we've all had run ins with these fearsome bugs called centipedes! In fact, I was sitting watching TV last night, lights out, and one scurried across the floor, casting a shadow five times its actual size from the light of the TV!!! I sent it home to Jesus via slipper, but was still skeeved out enough to call it a night! It's too bad they're so horrible looking, because they really are beneficial insects and devour so many other kinds of bugs that would otherwise have free reign in our homes.

I know people have their various "creature" phobias, but this is just saaaaaaaaaaaad. Centipedes? Excuse me, but it's not like it's a wasp, or a bee, or even a spider that could leave a big, red welt on your arm while you sleep after it bites you. Besides, EVERYONE knows that the most disgusting, horrific bug on the planet is the COCKROACH! LOL.

Have to disagree with you there, Snark...the most disgusting insect in the world is the bed bug! Thankfully, I have never had the misfortune of encountering one of these things, but there was a lady on our recent trip to Israel whose entire lower body was covered in bites after a few nights at the Sheraton in Tel Aviv! Poor thing thought they were mosquito bites at first! Absolutely icky!!!! For the rest of the trip, I tore the bed apart in every hotel we stayed in to make sure there were none...even when I was staying at the Wynn in Vegas, I still looked before I got into bed! Horrifying!

You know what? You are RIGHT! I had forgotten about bed bugs and their recent resurgence in the U.S., as well as Israel, apparently. In fact, I remember you telling me this story at Anvil one night. So yeah, bed bugs are the worst!

Poor centipede. Don't know what north American ones are like, over here they are about an inch and a half long, and not scary at all.

Sorry to break this to you, Betty, but bed bugs don't live in beds. They live in cracks in the wall plaster and come out to feed. I remember my mum telling me this about the days when we had them in the UK (before I was born).

I am not a fan of anything that wants to live in my apartment without helping pay the rent, and that includes my kids.....LOL

Snark is correct, kitties excluded. Miss Kitty has a purpose for being here. She keeps my toes warm in the winter and cuddles on the couch with me. That is more then I can say for my kids.....LOL

Oh yeah, and she doesn't make a mess and always goes in the box.
