Let's Keep Liza In Our Thoughts and Prayers . . .

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket If you love class acts, then you love Liza Minnelli. She should be back at home now, after collapsing and falling from a stage in Gothenburg, Sweden after performing a few numbers for a Christmas show where she was appearing with Swedish performers on Wednesday. Thank goodness, a production technician caught her as she was heading down the stairs and passed out. A Swedish doctor, who saw her at her hotel in Gothenburg, supposedly stated that it would be best to get her home as soon as possible. So we, the fans of the 61-year-old entertainer, will be waiting for further reports. Hang in there, Liza baby! The world needs more class acts like you.

News stories about the incident vary on the details, but here are several links:

I wish the ole girl well. So few names in showbiz left we grew up with...and the new generation of entertainers leaves a lot to be desired.

Golly, I was growing up with her mother still around!

I didn't ever think I'd envy her (I mean look at that David Gest thing she married, that we now seem to be stuck with) but she did get to spend quality time with the lovely Vincent last year when filming LOCI.

One of the best LOCI star turn episodes of last year. Had the best Eames' raised eyebrows. and Eames snarky lines.

Sweden was the 2nd to last Garland concert; in Malmo, Mar 23, 1969.

Methinks Liza has a few more stellar tricks up her sleeve. If only to do more Larry King. "Oh! Larry!!!"
