New improved "Obama IS mighty mouth" slideshow, now at JibJab - my reward for my Spanish oral yesterday

I just wasn't satisfied with how the old one came out, and I wanted to put it on JibJab, which is famous for its biting political humor.

So when I got back with Tess from her weekly doctor's visit, this is what I did.

How delish! Celebrating your "oral exam" with Obama's rather LARGE oral cavity . . .

Ya know... that's not even double entendre... maybe 1/2 entendre... *grin*

. . . and we MISSED you (and the pups) last night at Chez Anvil . . . and Gunga . . . although Betty, spouse, and Boris made appearances. A good time was had by all!

Thanks hun, I really wanted to make it this week (I was going to bring the sombrero and hold the pups hostage until someone agreed to take it) but I crashed soooooooooooooo hard. Did today too. Same time as I was preparing for my Spanish oral demonstration (I had to do an oral biography into camera by memory), Tess was having a hard time with flashbacks from our time of being abused by the church.

I don't know if you or anyone else here has been physically, sexually, emotionally, or spiritually abused. I'm pretty "out" about the fact that we've each/both been all 4, mostly while professional church workers, though I do tend to go vague on the details so as to not trigger my own flashbacks. At any rate, such flashbacks just happen with victims of abuse. I seem to be having fewer than Tess these days, butcha know, each time I have to inject medicine into her, I think of why and who made her so sick.

So sorry to hear about the horrible flashbacks. While I experienced a certain level of abuse, physical and emotional, as a child, it was pretty much resolved when I "fought back" at age 16. I think that happens in many families, so I don't consider it "unusual." But I've never been spiritually or sexually abused. I didn't realize Tess' illness was related to past abuse. So sorry to hear that. Something you and I can talk about "off blog," of course, if you ever want or need to.

And don't feel bad about crashing. Granted, I could not get to sleep until 5 a.m. this mornikng (sometimes typical after a 12-1/2 hour day of working), but then I crashed BIG TIME and did not rise from the futon until 3 p.m. when I woke to a meowing 4-legged child with fishy breath and a growling tummy.

Our dogs are not nearly so patient... they'd have licked our faces to the point our eyebrows were totally depilliated were we to neglect them that long.

Yes, those experiences played a role in her illness, and her flashbacks of them are always worse when her headaches are especially bad, as they are now. I honestly think she's headed back hospital way.

Yeh, the abuse stuff is best gone into detail off blog, methinks. As I said, I'm open enough about the fact that we've each suffered it so that others who have also suffered these things can take strength from our perseverance and our love for each other, but I don't generally get too detailed in "print."
