Looks a bit like the earlier Doctors.

He was my favourite Dr Who.

I'm happy to provide the blog with the proof that all Americans who think everybody in Britain knows everybody else (well almost)might just be right. My distance-connections with Tom Baker:

1. At the first school where I taught, a senior member of staff had given Tom Baker board and lodging when he was a drama student.

2. I once saw Tom Baker at a London Railway terminus. I regretted not speaking to him just to hear those resonant tones.

3. When I told my class about the incident, they said, "Who's Tom Baker?" (Yes SHOULD have been my answer...) so I turned to one boy whose father is an actor and said, "You must know Tom, tell the class." "He played Dr Who." "How do you know that?" I asked, thinking he would say something about his interests and broad knowledge of all sorts of things. What he actually replied was, "Oh, I think he came to dinner once"!

Mittens Romney dropped out today, so while I still feel bad about Jay Paul, I am elated by this news! Be warned, Betty will be busy blogging tonight!!!!!!

Woohoo Tom Baker, I guess this ruins the chance for him to be the reunion double doctor on the new show since he's gotten a bit bloated.
