The Backlash Continues...

The forces that pushed Proposition 8 face the anger of a community that realizes finally that it's being marginalized and dehumanized...and is not sitting back any longer!

Also, if anyone's got the time, there will be a protest rally downtown this Saturday. It's actually nationwide and will set the tone for where we go from here! It promises to be one of the greatest displays of gay power in recent memory! Yes, they are coming for us and we're finally waking up and smelling the coffee!

Thanks, Mike. While I'm glad he's apparently 'for gay marriage after he was against it,' I'm not sure of Arnold's motives here. He could be sizing up the prospects for Republicans in the next four years, given the Obama Presidency is already setting the stage for a political tidal wave to cleanse away the filthy and shit of the Bush years.

It would have been better if he'd actually come out more against Prop 8, but nonetheless, I'm glad he's on our side now. A lot of the blame for the passage of Prop 8, as I hear it now, is the timidity of our side to put out more forceful ads. Equality CA were not even showing same-sex couples in their ads, for Chrissake! I thik the Mormon 'Home Invasion' ad was both shocking AND eefective and that's the line they should have taken to counter the lies of the Pro Prop 8 side and their contributors.

If Prop 8 gets overturned by the courts--it's out of Arnie's hands, though he vetoed gay marriage in the state twice, I believe--then I'd be curious to see if the Governator is out among the people celebrating, or calming the fears of humiliated conservatives!
