More flatus- For whom would Jesus vote ? / A website ya'll'd probably like- www.rightwingwatch.org

The flatus (on Jesus' voting preferences) from http://christiannewswire.com/news/779825576.html ...

SOUTHFIELD, Michigan, Feb. 5 /Christian Newswire/ -- In preparation for key upcoming elections, William H. Carney has written a unique preparation guide, How Would Jesus Vote?, published by Creation House, a division of Strang Communications.

Carney starts off by asking a simple question: "If Jesus were a United States citizen, having all the legal rights and responsibilities of voting, according to what standards would he vote?" Carney delicately weaves through ten tumultuous topics, including taxes, same sex marriage, and war and national defense.

What comes through loud and clear in these 61 pages is Carney's passion to help readers not be swayed "by the economy, the media, the current popular opinion, or what is seemingly correct." In discussing each topic, he encourages readers to "not sit outside the political arena." To that end, he arms them with wonderful insight with biblical backing to reveal the truth of how Jesus would vote on each topic.

Concerning abortion, he notes, "It is clearly Satan's agenda manifested in the earth." Cleary, that can be said of any of the topics, particularly prayer in the schools. He writes on that topic: "The major issue with our school system is the government-forced removal of God from our schools. If you add that to the government-endorsed introduction of the 'religion' call Humanism … then you can see why evils like teen pregnancy and violence have increased greatly in our school."

Taking How Would Jesus Vote? to the polls will arm readers with the ability to vote correctly on each issue and turn the tide on humanistic agendas.

My response can best be expressed by this cartoon I made for my multiply blog, and is now one of the "required reading" items for people wanting to join the "whygod" seminar and support group my wife and I cohost there.

Santorum, Just Shut the F*** Up, Already!

DEFEATED/FORMER Pennsylvania Senator and Opus Dei crackpot Rick "Man-on-dog" Santorum must be bucking for a place on the all but defunct Presidential ticket of Mittens Romney! Recently, the politically disgraced dead-fetus sniffer said that if voters,

"...want a conservative as the nominee of this party, you must vote for Mitt Romney. Because Mitt Romney is the only person in this race that can stop John McCain and the elite in the party who don't as much care about those issues that a lot of folks in Georgia care about."

Yes, as the fallen, one-time number 3 Republican in Washington, Ricky, the Frothy Mixture, Santorum never considered himself one of the 'party elites' he speaks so dismissively of now, did he? Ricky also shared the "values" of those "folks in Georgia" when he voted down raising the minimum wage every chance he could, while giving big business and K-Street anything they wanted!

But if Santorum so questioned McCain's conservatism, “...it raises the question about why Santorum was so anxious to have McCain campaign for him, which McCain did, multiple times,” said McCain advisor Steve Schmidt. Yes, when Ricky was desperately trying to hold on to his Senate seat in 2006, he was more than happy to tout McCain as a fine Republican and hero. Just goes to show that rat bastards never die...they just support Mitt Romney and hope to be rewarded with a place in his cabinet! Sorry Ricky, but I'm pretty sure Mitt's going out of this campaign the same way you went out of yours in 2006...as a LOSER!

With enemies like Dobson and Limbaugh, no wonder McCain has so many friends!/ Why does anyone give a rodent's rectum who celebs, pastors &c endorse

Confession time: I once enjoyed listening to Limbaugh years ago... before he went national, and was a local talk jock in Sacramento CA, where my oldest brother lived. Bless me father, for I have sinned... ;>

Its amusing how the prospect of a McCain nomination brings out the crazy in the likes of Limbaugh and Dobson.

(Full disclosure- never been a fan of Dr. D.- he was a Bible thumping Dr. Phil before Dr. Phil was a twinkle in Oprah's eye.)

Before we get to their latest oral flatulence, the larger issue is... why does it matter what pastors (and I say this as having been one for more than a decade), movie stars, singers, or talk show hosts think? What makes them qualified to make our minds up for us? The singer formerly known as Johnny Cougar might know about "little pink houses," but since when does that translate into expertise on foreign policy or the economy? Jack Nick might know how to creep us out on the screen, but so what? Limbaugh's done a great job being a very partisan purveyor of 6th grade style humor, he works his audience well, but he's an entertainer, not a political master mind!

OK, so on to today's flatus...

The flatus in written form

I'm deeply disappointed the Republican Party seems poised to select a nominee who did not support a constitutional amendment to protect the institution of marriage, who voted for embryonic stem cell research to kill nascent human beings, who opposed tax cuts that ended the marriage penalty, and who has little regard for freedom of speech, who organized the Gang of 14 to preserve filibusters, and has a legendary temper and often uses foul and obscene language. I am convinced Sen. McCain is not a conservative, and in fact, has gone out of his way to stick his thumb in the eyes of those who are. He has at times sounded more like a member of the other party.

McCain actually considered leaving the GOP in 2001 and approached John Kerry about being Kerry’s running mate in 2004. McCain also said publicly that Hillary Clinton would make a good president. Given these and many other concerns, a spoonful of sugar does not make the medicine go down. I cannot, and I will not, vote for Sen. John McCain, as a matter of conscience.

But what a sad and melancholy decision this is for me and many other conservatives. Should John McCain capture the nomination as many assume, I believe this general election will offer the worst choices for president in my lifetime. I certainly can’t vote for Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama based on the virulently anti-family policy positions. If these are the nominees in November, I simply will not cast a ballot for president for the first time in my life.

These decisions are my personal views and do not represent the organization with which I'm affiliated. They do reflect, however, my deeply held convictions about the institution of the family, about moral and spiritual beliefs, and about the welfare of our country.

With Zero Precincts Reporting

MSNBC calls Georgia for Obama!

Whatever!

Update:

With Zero Precincts Reporting, MSNBC is now telling me how the voting broke out by race, age, sex, etc.

Whatever.

Update 2:

Keith Olbermann just salaciously winked at me.

Sippin Bloody's

and I feel great (the touch of hot sauce cleared up my congestion), Shuster and Olbermann on my TeeVee. What more could I need?

Whoever wins the Democratic Presidential Primary, I will wholeheartedly support.

Hoping Mark Pera pulls off a route on that dreck Lipinski. Sent many bucks his way to help him along, though he's out of my district. The corrupt machine needs to be pounded into oblivion.

Hoping Deratany routes Berrios so Boston Betty elates and SnarkAngel gets his dreamdate.

Hoping Suzanne Elder tops Heather Steans so Broken Heart of Rogers Park gets his wings.

Hoping turnouts are 2 to 1 Dem to Retard. This is something I can watch. Just read that in Shelby County AL that twice voted Bush 80:20, Ballots are goin out 55% Retard, 35% Democrat. This is progress for the most Republican county in the most Republican state, Alabama.

I probably shouldn't post any more, getting weepy and giddy.

Why We Vote!

To put an end to this piece of crap. Sadly enough, we are waiting for an election instead of an immediate impeachment:

Another born and bred "Masshole", tells NRO's K-LO like it T I IS about Mittster Flipster:

By “hometown boost,” I assume she means a Mitt Romney win. K-Lo, as a born-and-bred Masshole, let me be the first to tell you that we positively can’t stand Mitt, especially since he started using his contempt for us as a way to boost his right-wing credentials. Even the Republicans in this state hate his guts, since he basically did nothing as governor except using it as a platform to run for president. Nothing would make them happier than to see him go down in flames.

Lapdogs - Wingnut Mania

Just voted!

And I'm feeling feverish and elated. Never had this feeling from voting before. Phase I of ending our 8 year national nightmare

Recycling can be beautiful / Any of you GG's need a chair or a pair of men's black 12/13s?

These are my latest surplus "landfill liberations." (I usually just get stuff for my rugs, but when I see really good stuff... it just hurts my heart to see it go to a landfill when people could use and do need such things... I so wish we had a commune like setup up here on the far north side of Chicago where people could bring items to donate, and claim things they need. I've heard of such in San Fran, so...)

The chair is a nice waiting room style chair, curved back, teal cushions (which are a bit stained, but could easily be cleaned or covered.)

No election news from me yet... was supposed to have Spanish today, and did, but I lay down to help cuddle some of Tess' pain away, and just surfaced, but not very... this is 2nd time in 3 days my body's just said "That's it laddie, no more for you!"

How recycling can be beautiful

This rug = 20 to 30 pound of clothes which would have gone into a landfill and just sat there for what... 200 years, 300 years... eternity?

Click for larger version... and its now a couple of inches larger... will make it up to 26" or so, or how ever large my buyer wants it to be

God, I detest this man!

What an absolute tool!

In Honor of SUPER BOWL SUNDAY!!!!

Remember . . . if you're straight, it's okay to watch the big game with gay friends . . . and if you're gay, it's okay to watch with straight friends . . . or is it?!?!?

Well, as long as it doesn't turn me into a raving breeder, I guess I could stand to watch it with a few heteros. Betty, Gunga? Gino's North? Is Boris working?

Get Well Wishes for Snarkangel

Sending good thoughts Snarkangel's way. You missed last night at Granville Manor, of course you probably didn't miss the fragrance that more noticably than ever permeates the place!

Here's a little clip of Vincent from 'The Cell." (This was my absolute favorite scene!)

FOR VAL . . .

... just because this is so damned retarded ... which would explain why I love it ...

ANOTHER Neanderthal Sportscaster Shows His True Colors...

This rude media pig, jerk-off asshole would be the perfect husband for another lardass jerk-off who works as a morning bartender . . . they both think they're f*&king prima donnas . . .

Spanish for Your NANNY!!!

Something EVERY white, upper middle class or well-to-do housewife MUST have . . . a working knowledge of spanish so they are able to communicate "effectively" with the underpaid, illegal workers they LOVE to push around and abuse so they can feel better about their whore-for-hire selves . . .

Besides, who else is going to look after their silver spoon-fed, spoiled, snot-nosed little brats so they have enough time to shop, have lunch, and get their hair and nails done? Welcome to life in places like Wilmette and Winnetka! Where "spanish" isn't JUST for restaurant menus anymore!

Piss off Coulter & Limnbaugh- Vote McCain '08 & Boxing people in with labels

I remember when "W" was first running & again when he ran for reelection, many of the Streisand / Baldwin contingent said they would leave the U.S. were he to win. He won, they stayed, and conservatives lambasted them for it.

Well, now the shoe's on the other foot. I look forwards to Ann Coulter stumping for Hillary... I might even pay to see that!

The larger issue is... these people are becoming parodies of themselves. Politically, it seems like they have lost all higher neurological function, and are just acting on reflex.

Beyond even that... the way these folks are so obsessed with finding the "true conservative" I've been wondering about why Americans are so obsessed with false polarities and with giving everything a label, putting everyone in a box.
  • This weekend is the superbowl, and the options are being a Giants or Patriots fan. There is no "I couldn't care less could you please stop yammering about it" option.
  • They talk about red states and blue states, as if the inhabitants were two different species.
  • Similarly in matters of gender, sexuality, and so on. Everyone must be one or the other, have a label, stay in their box. It seems as if our culture is more comfortable with clearly defined extremes than with anyone who would occupy the space between, or incorporate elements of both.
There's probably a lot more I could say on that, but I'm worn out. I woke up at 4:30 this morning so I could dig out the car and get Tess down for her weekly pain shot. (Got some great video in Edgewater and down at the lakeshore I'll be posting over at my multiply blog either tonight or tomorrow.)

Buenas noches!
