Remember . . . if you're straight, it's okay to watch the big game with gay friends . . . and if you're gay, it's okay to watch with straight friends . . . or is it?!?!?
Well, as long as it doesn't turn me into a raving breeder, I guess I could stand to watch it with a few heteros. Betty, Gunga? Gino's North? Is Boris working?

I generally don't give a rat's about team sports, but if any of ya'll are gonna be at Gino's, let me know and I'll pop in to say "hi" (sans dogs of course.)
Anyone want the sombrero? *grin*
Off to dig out Snark's and my car. I know, he doesn't think it needs it, but the snow plow came through yesterday morning, and people were having a real pain getting out.
Now... the logical question raised by Snark's question is... does NOT watching the Stuporbowl make me gay? (Not that there's anything wrong with it... *grin*) In Indiana, Minnesota, and Missouri, it sure did! I was worse than a heathen, even in clerical.
PS- Were there a team sport I'd watch, it would be football, I appreciate the strategy (spoken as an old school Risk gamer.) But my superbowl tradition is to go grocery shopping... its beautiful... no lines at all, you can breeze in and out like a greased pig...
So... if the gang'll be at Gino's, I'll drop by en route. Just let me know neighbor!
(And I promise, I'll shovel you OUT, not in. Now, were you driving an SUV... *evil**grin*)
No significance for me. But I love the new banner. No harm in having ambition...
Hot! Unfortunately, none of my Super Bowl get-togethers ever took a turn like that! (sigh*)
Goth, I will give you a jingle later, before I head over to Gino's. I am feeling better today, but not 100%. So I REALLY DO APPRECIATE you digging me out! I think kick-off is about 5:15. But regardless, I will call ya first. O'Douls (or whatever) . . . my treat!
Val, glad you approve of the "enhanced" title banner. That was my evil doing. Hee.

Mike...I'm from Boston, so bite me dude! Fair is fair, however, they pulled it off at the last minute, so I tip my hat. Besides...I met Kraft and think he's a doushbag anyway and the Pats already have enough SB rings, so I'm hardly upset. Another thing to consider...these a-holes--no matter which team--are STILL going to wake up richer tomorrow than any of us, so fuck em!
Snark, thanks for calling... I crashed HARD when I got home from class... plus, Tess pulled rank- wouldn't even let me do "super bowl shopping."
You probably didn't need digging out yesterday, but it was a mess this morning... I assume you recognized my handiwork *grin*
DUDE (Snark) - After I shoveled a path to the sidewalk, you came along in the muck of Winthrop? (I was looking out the window to check on the weather when you loaded up for work.)
Feelin' any better?
Basically, it was all SLUSH this morning. Got the car out of the parking spot very easily! Thanks so much! With my car, I have to unlock the passenger side first, then unlock the driver side, as the lock on the driver side is broken from the outside. Results of an attempted break-in many, many moons ago when I lived in Rogers Park. LOL
Feeling much better, but our brother Gunga Dean is VERY sick, which explains his recent absence from Pabulum.
Wish you had made it to Gino's North yesterday. Boston Betty and hubby were there, as well as Jay Paul Deratany. The half-time buffet (free, by the way) was excellent. Also, our dear Ms. JustCatie made an appearance and brought mini cupcakes. LOL. And of course, the 4th quarter was really all anyone needed to watch. Edge-of-the-seater.
Snark- of course you made it out easy... I shoved the snow and cleared off your windshield.
Sorry I missed the gang yesterday, but I'm tellin ya', as soon as my head hit the pillow for my nap, I was out cold... didn't even wake up to walk the dogs or eat until about 11pm.
Speaking of Jay though... I know one fellow who WONT be voting for him... while I was walking the dogs saturday night near the parking lot of the building NE corner of Winthrop & Rosemont (you know, the one where half of the north side's cabbies live, I saw a fellow slip on one of his signs which had somehow wound up on the sidewalk. He was OK, but I moved both signs to the inside of the fence... laminated plastic + slush + person walking along not paying attention because they're on their phone = lawsuit & serious injury.
(That fellow being the one who slipped... tempting as it is to switch sides and vote for Hillary just because I think McCain has a better chance of beating her, and I'm hoping that if she looses the Clinton family will finally leave our country alone... I'll be doing my part to make sure that the Flipster and the Huckster don't get any delegates from IL.)
