These are my latest surplus "landfill liberations." (I usually just get stuff for my rugs, but when I see really good stuff... it just hurts my heart to see it go to a landfill when people could use and do need such things... I so wish we had a commune like setup up here on the far north side of Chicago where people could bring items to donate, and claim things they need. I've heard of such in San Fran, so...)
The chair is a nice waiting room style chair, curved back, teal cushions (which are a bit stained, but could easily be cleaned or covered.)
No election news from me yet... was supposed to have Spanish today, and did, but I lay down to help cuddle some of Tess' pain away, and just surfaced, but not very... this is 2nd time in 3 days my body's just said "That's it laddie, no more for you!"
How recycling can be beautiful
This rug = 20 to 30 pound of clothes which would have gone into a landfill and just sat there for what... 200 years, 300 years... eternity?
Click for larger version... and its now a couple of inches larger... will make it up to 26" or so, or how ever large my buyer wants it to be

The chair sounds cool, but I have absolutely NO room for even ONE more thing in my apartment! LOL. You'll have to pop over sometime to see the eclectic mix/mess that is my abode . . . three hand chairs (two of them original) in 3 different colors: lime green, orange, and yellow, with miniblinds (different color, each window) to match.
And my husband who lives in the TV wears a size 13 . . .
By the way, the colors in the rug are great!
Yeh, we'll have to come around the corner sometime.
As for your heart throb... these are nice shoes, but hardly "hey I want to jump your bones" level gift material.
Thanks... the rug is largely dictated by what I am able to save from the landfills. Sheets and easy material go to my wife to work with, I work with the rest.
Trust me, the only "gift" I wanna give the big guy does NOT pertain to shoes . . . LOL
I like the rug. And Art Isn't Easy. Does it continue to grow until it's sold?
