I can't believe you guys have to QUEUE to vote. I know we have low turn-out here, but even with everybody voting, there would only be short queues at peak times. Sounds like you need more polling booths.
Or would that encourage TOO many people to vote? The Republicans would never get in :)
Part of it, Val, is that there are "peak" voting times when many of us working people show up. I waited in line because I arrived on the LAST DAY of advance voting at 3:30 p.m. My own fault. Also, I believe they are predicting that this will be one of the highest turn-outs ever. But yeah, more polling booths are definitely in order. And this year the Republicans are trying every trick in the book, at certain polls, to try and disenfranchise democrat-identified voters. It's one thing to rigorously check to ensure that only REAL, REGISTERED voters are participating. It is another to lie to people and to scare people into not voting.
