ER - not sure I'm in on the 999/1000 thing, but hearing a bunch of talented pianists is always worth it. When the English National Opera celebrated their 40th anniversary, they had a 40 hour music marathon, and one of the events was a large number (15 or 20, not sure now) of pianists on stage at the London Coliseum, incuding the legendary John Ogden during one of his calmer bi-polar days. It was terrific.
